The idea of Njira Skills Youth Training Centre was born in the year 2015 which aimed at empowering the most vulnerable members of society by equipping them with the necessary vocational skills training and bringing out, seeking guidance and solutions to the many economic and empowerment challenges facing women and children afflicted by gender inequality and gender-based violence.

The Njira Skills Youth Training Centre believe that eliminating poverty is the first step in fighting most of the world’s biggest pandemics such as, gender-based Violence, substance abuse, and early marriages, just to mention a few. Many of these women are usually abandoned to fend for themselves after being abused. As a result, most of these women lack the requisite skills for survival.

PROJECT OBJECTIVE

• To contribute to the fight against poverty through skills training, empowerment, and strong entrepreneurial capabilities by 2030.

VISION
• A poverty free world where both men and women treat each other as equal partners in development and zero new cases of gender-based violence recorded.

MISSION
• To provide high quality and relevant free vocational skills training to survivors of gender-based violence, the vulnerable and the less privileged.
